Baseball Game Preview: Clewiston Tigers vs. North Broward Prep Eagles

The Clewiston Tigers will take on the North Broward Prep Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Clewiston is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Somerset Academy - Canyons as they made off with a 10-3 win.

Clewiston got a great performance from Rocco Mann as he struck out nine batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Those nine strikeouts gave Mann a new career-high.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when North Broward Prep challenged Palmer Trinity on Saturday. The Eagles narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Falcons 1-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Jack Rostock tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, North Broward Prep saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Smith, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Clewiston now has a winning record of 13-12. As for North Broward Prep, their record is now 17-6.

Clewiston suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to North Broward Prep when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
