Elko has gone 8-2 against Spring Creek recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Elko will take on Spring Creek at 3:00 p.m. One thing working in Elko's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last four contests.
Elko had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Lewiston on Saturday. Elko blew past Lewiston 11-3. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by eight runs or more this season.
Elko got a great performance from Abrianna Lesbo as she tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Adausha O'Berto, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Piper Martin, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.
Meanwhile, Spring Creek posted their closest victory since April 12, 2024 on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over Dayton.
Ava Cauley made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Cauley was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run.
In other batting news, MacKenzie Morfin was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Adalynne Dolfin, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Spring Creek lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Elko is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.4 runs over those games. Spring Creek's record is now 8-6.
Elko skirted past Spring Creek 5-4 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Elko since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
