Football Recap: Holland Patent Comes Up Short

Holland Patent lost against Canastota back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Golden Knights were beaten by the Red Raiders 49-20. The Golden Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Holland Patent lost, don't look at Ethan Briggs. Despite the final result, he threw for 205 yards and three TDs on only 17 passes, and also rushed for 32 yards.

Holland Patent now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Canastota, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holland Patent will head out to square off against Skaneateles at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Canastota, they will square off against Adirondack at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
