Volleyball Recap: Lake Region Comes Up Short

Lake Region was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Davenport Broncos. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Broncos this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-1 loss last Thursday.

Charlotte Williams paced Lake Region's offense, picking up three kills. Williams got some help from Yatnielis Medina Gonzalez and her six assists.

Lake Region's defeat dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Davenport, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-2.

Coincidentally, Lake Region and Davenport will both be playing Santa Fe Catholic the next time they take the court. The Broncos will host the Hawks at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Thunder will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
