Volleyball Recap: Rantoul Eagles vs. Mt. Zion Braves

On Tuesday, the Rantoul Eagles came up short against the Mt. Zion Braves and fell 2-0. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Rantoul ultimately came up short, they really made Mt. Zion work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-3.

Josie Roseman paced Rantoul's offense, picking up five kills. Roseman got some help from Lauren Herbert and her seven assists. Roseman was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Among those leading the charge was Ty Ball, who had three aces and 16 assists. That's the most aces she has posted in her last nine matches.

Rantoul's loss dropped their record down to 11-20. As for Mt. Zion, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 18-16 record this season.
