The Silver Creek Raptors will square off against the Erie Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Silver Creek is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.5 runs per game this season.
Last Wednesday, Silver Creek made easy work of Skyline and carried off an 8-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Raptors, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.

Silver Creek got a great performance from Nolan Gaccetta as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. Gaccetta also tossed a walk, which is notable because the Raptors are 3-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 3-4 otherwise.
At the plate, Nathen Canfield was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Silver Creek is undefeated when Canfield posts three or more RBI, but 3-5 otherwise. Brody Simpson was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Erie beat Brighton 5-1 on Saturday.
Maddox Burnett made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out ten batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Burnett was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ronin Ward, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Taylor McMaster, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Erie has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Silver Creek, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Silver Creek has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .440. However, it's not like Erie struggles in that department as they've averaged .448. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Silver Creek might still be hurting after the 13-3 defeat they got from Erie in their previous meeting back in May of 2023. Will the Raptors have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
