Baseball Recap: Logan Has No Trouble Against Sky View

Logan entered their tilt with Sky View on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Bobcats. That looming 8-2 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Grizzlies yet this season.

Zac Stuart made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Josh Jensen and Kyler Briel did most of the damage at the plate: Jensen scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4, while Briel scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Those three runs gave Jensen a new career-high. Reed Olsen also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Logan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Logan's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 3-10. As for Sky View, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Logan beat Sky View by a score of 5-4 later that day.
