Basketball Recap: Highland Takes a Loss

Highland managed to keep up with Tallmadge until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Highland Hornets came up short against the Tallmadge Blue Devils, falling 60-35. The contest marked the Hornets' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Highland's defeat dropped their record down to 16-3. As for Tallmadge, their win bumped their record up to 12-7.

Highland and Tallmadge should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Highland (ranked 78th) will meet Avon (ranked 271st) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Highland is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. Similarly, Tallmadge will challenge Firestone at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday up 494 places (165 vs. 659).
