Basketball Recap: Constantine Comes Up Short

Constantine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Galesburg-Augusta Rams 69-42. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 679th, while the Rams are ranked 228th).

Constantine's defeat dropped their record down to 0-19. As for Galesburg-Augusta, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 18-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Falcons duke it out with the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Galesburg-Augusta, they will take on Kellogg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Kellogg is on a five-game streak of home wins, Galesburg-Augusta a six-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
