Baseball Recap: Southwest Gets the Win

Southwest picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Cypress Springs Panthers 9-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Dragons.

The team relied heavily on Jeiden Alfaro, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Nehemiah Frausto was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one double.

Southwest's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Cypress Springs, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Coming up, Southwest will take on Jay at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cypress Springs, they will take on Paetow in a tournament on Thursday.
