Last Tuesday, everything went Downers Grove South's way against Leyden as Downers Grove South made off with a 65-41 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Mustangs have posted against the Eagles since February 12, 2022.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Plainfield East). They came out on top against Plainfield South by a score of 79-72 on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for the Bengals who have now won four matchups in a row.

Downers Grove South has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 14-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.2 points over those games. As for Plainfield East, their win bumped their record up to 11-17.

Everything went Downers Grove South's way against Plainfield East in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as Downers Grove South made off with a 75-55 victory.
