Soccer Recap: Paradise Valley Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Paradise Valley's offense. They lost 5-0 to the Sierra Linda Bulldogs on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 119th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 34th).

Paradise Valley's loss dropped their record down to 3-8-2. As for Sierra Linda, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Paradise Valley will welcome Verrado at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Paradise Valley's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for Sierra Linda, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Copper Canyon at 6:00 p.m. Sierra Linda has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 14 goals over their last three contests.
