Volleyball Recap: Delta Falls Short of New Castle in the Playoffs

Delta and New Castle squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Delta had to settle for second. They fell 3-1 to the Trojans. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Trojans earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Delta lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Sienna Richards, who had 21 digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was Baylee Rich, who had 21 digs.

Delta's defeat dropped their record down to 12-12. As for New Castle, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-11.

Delta does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for New Castle, they will challenge Hamilton Heights at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
