Volleyball Recap: Princeton Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Princeton lost against Loyalton back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Eagles fell 3-1 to the Grizzlies. Eagles fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Grizzlies since Thursday.

Princeton started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 12-25, 25-16, 25-23, 25-23.

Despite the loss, Princeton still got an impressive performance from Starlin Smith, who had six digs and two aces. Smith is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Princeton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Loyalton, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-10.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Princeton is set to face off against their familiar foe Elk Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Loyalton will challenge rival Plumas Charter at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
