Baseball Recap: North Eugene Takes a Loss

North Eugene was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 7-2 to the Thurston Colts. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Colts this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-0 on Tuesday.

Riley Whitwood made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Duncan Roudabush also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

North Eugene's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Thurston, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season.

While North Eugene had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
