Softball Game Preview: Metro Tech Knights vs. North Mustangs

Metro Tech hasn't had much luck against North recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Metro Tech Knights will challenge the North Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Metro Tech will be strutting in after a win while North will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with 22 defeats in a row dating back to last season, Metro Tech turned things around against Washington last Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Rams as they made off with a 23-8 victory.

The team relied heavily on Delanie Quijada, who went 4-for-5 with five RBI, three runs, and one triple. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brianna Aispuro Avilez, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all six of her plate appearances.

Meanwhile, North lost 11-1 to Round Valley on Saturday.

The win got Metro Tech back to even at 1-1. As for North, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Metro Tech suffered a grim 14-3 defeat to North in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Metro Tech avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
