Volleyball Recap: Troy-Buchanan Comes Up Short

Troy-Buchanan lost against Fort Zumwalt West back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Trojans lost 3-0 to the Jaguars.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-15, 25-20.

Fort Zumwalt West found their leader in freshman Jetta Jones, who had seven aces and one assist. Those seven aces set a new season-high mark for Jones. Isabella Marecek also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Troy-Buchanan's loss dropped their record down to 6-9-2. As for Fort Zumwalt West, they pushed their record up to 19-3 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Troy-Buchanan will venture away from home to challenge Holt at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fort Zumwalt West, they will head out to face off against Liberty at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
