After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lucy Beckham, Philip Simmons was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Beaufort Eagles by a score of 31-20. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Iron Horses considering their nine-point performance the contest before.
Philip Simmons had a senior duo take command as Tavien Orellana threw for 72 yards and three touchdowns and Kolten Kellermann picked up 67 receiving yards and three touchdowns. The dominant performance gave Orellana a new career-high in rushing yards.
Philip Simmons' defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged three passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of Kellermann and Travaris Walker. Daniel Scarth was another major factor on D, forcing a fumble, making ten total tackles (1.0 for loss), and defending a pass.
