Softball Recap: Northside Extends Winning Streak to Three

Northside entered their tilt with Olney on Friday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. Everything went their way against the Olney Cubs as they made off with a 16-9 victory. This was payback for the Indians, who suffered a 9-8 defeat the last time these two teams met.

L. Logsdon was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of J. Bustamante, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4.

Logsdon wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Northside kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Northside's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.7 runs over those games. As for Olney, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northside will challenge Seymour at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Olney, they will head out on the road to take on Electra at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
