Volleyball Recap: KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate Comes Up Short

After flying high against Nashoba Valley Tech last Tuesday, KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate came back down to earth. The Panthers came up short against the Lynn Classical Rams on Thursday, falling 3-0. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Rams when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-10, 25-15.

Xavier Pena paced KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate's offense, picking up five kills. Pena got some help from Anjel Mendez and his eight assists. Finally, Kevin Sholola kept KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Lynn Classical's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Luca Lopriore, who had seven aces.

KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Lynn English on the 5th. As for Lynn Classical, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Lynn Vo-Tech on the 5th.
