After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pine Creek, Regis Jesuit was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Chaparral Wolverines 2-1. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Raiders were the better team in the second half.

Brooke Metcalfe and Kennedy Ranson scored both of Regis Jesuit's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

The win got Regis Jesuit back to even at 1-1. As for Chaparral, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Regis Jesuit will venture away from home to take on Cherry Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cherry Creek knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Regis Jesuit likes a good challenge. As for Chaparral, they will face off against Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
