Soccer Game Preview: Amphitheater vs. Flowing Wells

Amphitheater hasn't had much luck against Flowing Wells recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Amphitheater Panthers are taking a road trip to face off against the Flowing Wells Caballeros at 5:00 p.m. Amphitheater is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.3 goals per game this season.

Flowing Wells is hoping to do what Catalina couldn't on Monday: put an end to Amphitheater's winning streak, which now stands at three games. Amphitheater blew past Catalina 9-1. Hawaou Ilyassa was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Flowing Wells lost 5-1 to Sahuarita on Friday. The Caballeros haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Flowing Wells' defeat dropped their record down to 2-5-2. As for Amphitheater, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2-1.

Amphitheater suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Flowing Wells in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Amphitheater avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
