Baseball Recap: Dawson-Boyd Extends Winning Streak to Five

Dawson-Boyd had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They walked away with a 6-1 win over the Canby Lancers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Blackjacks also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Dawson-Boyd's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Canby, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Dawson-Boyd is set to take on their familiar foe Renville County West at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Canby will challenge rival Lac qui Parle Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
