Volleyball Game Preview: Mission Vista vs. Sage Creek Bobcats

Mission Vista is 0-4 against Sage Creek since April of 2021 but things could change on Thursday. Mission Vista will host Sage Creek at 5:30 p.m.

Mission Vista came up short against Canyon Crest Academy on Tuesday, falling 3-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, Mission Vista hasn't been shut out since back in March.

While Mission Vista was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-20, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Sage Creek posted their closest victory since March 22nd on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Otay Ranch, sneaking past 3-2.

Sage Creek got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 27-25, 25-18, 28-30, 15-9.

Mission Vista better keep an eye on Brandon Jemison. He was instrumental in Sage Creek's win, getting 22 digs and three aces. That's the most aces Jemison has posted since back in March. Preston Vuu also deserves some recognition as he had his first digs of the season.

Sage Creek's win bumped their record up to 16-17. As for Mission Vista, their loss dropped their record down to 12-12.
