Basketball Recap: Pocomoke Beats Crisfield for Their Second Straight Win

If Crisfield wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Pocomoke, they should've done a better job of containing Donyae Washington. The Pocomoke Warriors blew past the Crisfield Crabbers, posting a 68-23 win for which the team can thank Washington, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 18 boards. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last 44 games she's played dating back to last season.

Danae Dennis was another key player, shooting 86% from the field on her way to 12 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. She has become a key player for Pocomoke: the team is 4-2 when she posts at least three steals, but 5-11 otherwise.

The victory made it two in a row for Pocomoke and bumps their season record up to 9-13. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 46 points. As for Crisfield, their defeat was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-20.

Coming up, Pocomoke will square off against Snow Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Snow Hill has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Crisfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
