Baseball Recap: McArthur Takes a Loss

McArthur was the 6-0 winner over South Plantation when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The McArthur Mustangs lost 18-8 to the South Plantation Paladins on Tuesday. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Damari Madry made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Tommy Rodriguez was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

McArthur's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for South Plantation, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McArthur will challenge Fort Lauderdale at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fort Lauderdale is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season. As for South Plantation, they will square off against Pompano Beach at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Pompano Beach also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 8.6 runs per game.
