Volleyball Recap: Liberty Christian Prep Extends Winning Streak to Three

Liberty Christian Prep barely beat First Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lions put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for the Lions as they're now sitting on three straight.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-17, 25-21.

Liberty Christian Prep found their leader in freshman Kenzie Eury, who had 25 digs and six aces. Eury has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jade Kirven, who had 14 digs and two assists.

Liberty Christian Prep was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in 12 consecutive contests.

Liberty Christian Prep's record now sits at 12-7. As for First Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.

Liberty Christian Prep will look to defend their home court on Monday against Hampden DuBose Academy at 5:00 p.m. As for First Academy, they are taking a road trip to square off against Tavares at 6:30 p.m. on the 9th.
