Preview: Avalon Eagles vs. Coolidge Yellowjackets
Avalon is 1-7 against Coolidge since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Avalon Eagles' homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Coolidge Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. Avalon's defense has only allowed 25.8 points per game this season, so Coolidge's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Avalon found their leader in underclassman Brooklyn De La Garza, who scored 25 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which De La Garza has scored at least a third of Avalon's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Haley Zaidle, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, Coolidge's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Friday after their ninth straight loss. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 48-38 loss to Oakwood.
Avalon's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-5. As for Coolidge, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.
