Baseball Recap: Christ Prep Academy Triumphs

Christ Prep Academy's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They blew past the Pleasant Ridge Rams 16-2. Considering the Patriots' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

CJ Warhurst looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Cade Elder was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Hink, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Christ Prep Academy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Pleasant Ridge, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Christ Prep Academy will host Plaza Heights Christian Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Pleasant Ridge, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Jackson Heights.
