Dynamic duo of Taylor Wiekamp and Dustin Rhodes lead Utopia to victory

Recap: Utopia Buffaloes vs. Nueces Canyon Panthers
The Utopia Buffaloes lost to the Nueces Canyon Panthers back in February of 2023, but the Utopia Buffaloes didn't allow the Nueces Canyon Panthers the same satisfaction on Tuesday. Utopia put the hurt on Nueces Canyon with a sharp 71-46 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Utopia.
Utopia was led to victory by Taylor Wiekamp and Dustin Rhodes. Wiekamp scored 18 points along with six assists, while Rhodes scored 14 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for him. Jett Smothers was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Utopia has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-10-1 record this season. As for Nueces Canyon, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Knippa the next time they take the court. Utopia will host Knippa at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while Nueces Canyon will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
