After a string of nine wins, Eden Christian Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Serra Catholic Eagles by a score of 3-2. While Eden Christian Academy didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Serra Catholic 25-16 in the first set.

Eden Christian Academy actually scored more points across those five sets (105-103), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-16, 28-26, 19-25, 15-13.

Ava Arnold paced Eden Christian Academy's offense, picking up 17 kills. Arnold got some help from Erin Hull and her 20 assists. Arnold was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Eden Christian Academy's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 12-3. As for Serra Catholic, their record is now 6-4.
