The Girard Indians will be taking part in a tournament against the Chippewa Chipps at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Girard is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.5 runs per game this season.

South Range hit Girard with a four-run seventh inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Indians lost 11-3 to the Raiders. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Girard saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Serrano, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Chippewa had just enough and edged out Smithville 4-2 on Tuesday. The Chipps haven't had any issues with the Smithies recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Girard now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Chippewa, their victory bumped their record up to 5-12.
