Softball Recap: Redmond Panthers vs. Caldera

Redmond had lost four straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 3-7-1 to make it five. They lost 15-5 to Caldera. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 8-3 to Caldera when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Caldera, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-9. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.5 runs over those games.

For Caldera's part, Nina Santos Wagner spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up six Ks. Those six strikeouts set a new season-high mark for Santos Wagner.

On the hitting side, Morgan Voll was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, two stolen bases, and three RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Analeigh Miller, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two triples, two stolen bases, and three runs.
