Softball Recap: MacDonald Takes a Loss

MacDonald fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Santa Clara on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bruins. The Condor haven't had much luck with the Bruins recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Kyleena Stone made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

MacDonald now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Santa Clara, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. MacDonald will take on Fremont at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Santa Clara, they will challenge Menlo-Atherton at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bruins will need to watch out since the M-A BEARS have now posted at least ten runs in their last five contests.
