Volleyball Recap: South Lyon's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

South Lyon had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight on Saturday. They came out on top against the Walled Lake Northern Knights by a score of 2-0. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 2-0 win two weeks ago.

Kennedy Duncan paced South Lyon's offense, picking up nine kills. Duncan got some help from Lucy Stoll and her 21 assists. Stoll was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Walled Lake Northern lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Morgin Parsley, who had seven kills and six digs. She is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had seven or more in each of the last four games she's played.

South Lyon's win bumped their record up to 32-8. As for Walled Lake Northern, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-13-1 record this season.

Coincidentally, South Lyon and Walled Lake Northern will both be playing Mott the next time they take the court. The Knights will head out to face the Corsairs at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Lions will play them later in the day, at 10:30 a.m.
