While Sherwood's victory against Midway wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Marksmen sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Vikings on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Marksmen in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won five in a row.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Sherwood who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 19-25, 25-13, 22-25, 15-10.

Kiah Felton paced Sherwood's offense, picking up 20 kills. Felton got some help from Cooper McDonald and her 16 assists. Lexi Mullen controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Sherwood's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Midway, their loss ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 6-4.

Sherwood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against El Dorado Springs on the 25th. As for Midway, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Rich Hill on the 25th.
