Basketball Recap: Central Gets Big Victory over Higher-Ranked Benton

It was a proper cat-fight when Central duked it out withBenton on Friday. The Central Tigers managed a 61-56 win over the Benton Panthers. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Tigers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while the Panthers are ranked fourth).

The win snapped Central's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-7 record. As for Benton, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 61-56 victory against Benton on the 7th. Benton has also already played their next contest, a 69-57 win against Jacksonville on the 6th.
