Basketball Recap: Corner Takes a Loss

If Corner was feeling good fresh off their 93-51 takedown of Oak Grove last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Corner Yellow Jackets fell 70-63 to the Carbon Hill Bulldogs on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 63-54.

Corner's defeat dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Carbon Hill, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Corner will face off against Hayden at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Hayden will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Corner surely won't give up without a fight. As for Carbon Hill, they will square off against Oakman at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Carbon Hill has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
