Baseball Recap: Covenant Day Lions vs. Cannon Cougars

Covenant Day was the 3-2 winner over Cannon when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Covenant Day Lions fell just short of the Cannon Cougars by a score of 3-1 on Friday.

Covenant Day got a good showing from Issac Snapp, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Covenant Day saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Austin Price, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

On Cannon's side, Avi Pandey looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Victor Lopez was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Tyler Green, who went 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI.
