Basketball Recap: Cor Jesu Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Pattonville last Tuesday, Cor Jesu Academy came back down to earth. The Cor Jesu Academy Chargers took a blow against the Incarnate Word Academy Red Knights on Friday, falling 83-34. The contest marked the Chargers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Cor Jesu Academy's loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Incarnate Word Academy, their win was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-2.

Cor Jesu Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 43-38 victory against Webster Groves on the 8th. As for Incarnate Word Academy, they will be playing at home against Visitation Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Incarnate Word Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 18 contests -- so hopefully Visitation Academy likes a good challenge.
