Recap: Red Level Tigers vs. Straughn Tigers
The Red Level Tigers lost against the Straughn Tigers back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The matchup between Red Level and the Tigers wasn't particularly close, with the Tigers falling 58-39. Red Level has struggled against the Tigers recently, as their match on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Straughn found their leader in underclassman Allyx Williamson, who scored 22 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Williamson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ora Hall, who scored 12 points along with five assists.
Red Level's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Straughn, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-6.
Red Level will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Carroll presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Tigers in Alabama (the Eagles are ranked 134th, while the Tigers are ranked 320th). As for Straughn, they will head out on the road to challenge the Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Elba knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully the Tigers likes a good challenge.
