The biggest upset of the week belonged to St. Mary's Ryken, who took down 107th ranked Bishop Walsh, 42-0.
Northern's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Aaron Broadwater threw for 22 yards and Meshach Metz had 15 yards receiving. On the ground Jeremy Bender chipped in 134 yards. Trevor Harding helped Northern's passing attack out by catching one ball for six yards.
Eastern Christian Academy's David Sills and Daikiel Shorts have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Freelance in both passing and receiving yards. 6-4 quarterback Sills has thrown for 719 yards this season, while Shorts has 14 catches for 307 yards. The Huskies' Bender leads the league in rushing yards with 304.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Southern takes on Fort Hill. As it stands, the Rams are in eighth, while the Sentinels are in fourth.
Southern made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,235 from 11,781. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 41-6 victory over Petersburg last week.
