Soccer Game Preview: Dundee-Crown vs. Barrington

The Dundee-Crown Chargers will square off against the Barrington Fillies/Broncos at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Dundee-Crown is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They never let Round Lake get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. Rylie Mensik was a massive factor in the win as she booted in five goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Barrington came tearing into Tuesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 goals), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the J-Hawks as they made off with an 8-0 win. Considering Barrington have won ten games by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Barrington pushed their record up to 15-1-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those three matchups. As for Dundee-Crown, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9-2.

Dundee-Crown might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Barrington in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Chargers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
