Basketball Game Preview: Springboro Panthers vs. Fairmont Firebirds

Springboro hasn't had much luck against Fairmont recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Firebirds at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

It was a proper cat-fight when Springboro took on Springfield on Tuesday. The Panthers came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 56-48. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Meanwhile, Fairmont hadn't done well against Wayne recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Firebirds escaped with a win against the Warriors by the margin of a single free throw, 40-39. That's two games straight that the Firebirds have won by just one point.

Springboro now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Fairmont, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.
