Baseball Recap: Reading Takes a Loss

After flying high against Wilson on Thursday, Reading came back down to earth. The Red KNights came up short against the Governor Mifflin Mustangs on Friday, falling 6-0. The shutout was out of character for the Red KNights seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

Reading handed starting duties to David Garcia, who gave a strong showing despite the result: he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits.

Reading's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Governor Mifflin, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.

Reading has already played their next matchup, a 9-0 defeat against Wyomissing on the 4th. As for Governor Mifflin, they will square off against Muhlenberg at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
