Volleyball Recap: Fort Lupton Beats Arrupe Jesuit for Their Third Straight Win

Fort Lupton waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Arrupe Jesuit Generals. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 on Tuesday.

Fort Lupton not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Arrupe Jesuit between 16 and 18 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-16.

Sebastian Gallegos paced Fort Lupton's offense, picking up eight kills. Gallegos got some help from Aaron Encinia and his ten assists. Gallegos also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Joel Valadez, racking up two apiece.

Fort Lupton's victory bumped their record up to 4-15. As for Arrupe Jesuit, their defeat was their tenth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-15.

Looking ahead, Fort Lupton will head out to square off against Severance at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Silver Knights will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something the Bluedevils surely won't give up without a fight. As for Arrupe Jesuit, they will venture away from home to face off against Forge Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
