League recap: GRONHAGEN powers El Segundo with hot hitting week

Pioneer league recap: 5/29/12

Erik Gronhagen was on fire this week, as he led Pioneer with a .500 average, one home run and four RBIs. El Segundo compiled a record of 0-1 in that time.

North went from 1959 to 1761 in the national rankings since last week after going 1-1 in the past seven days. The Saxons are currently sitting at No. 190 in the state of California, thanks to an overall record of 20-13.

North's pitching staff dominated this week, allowing only 10 hits and seven walks, both of which led the league. The Saxons' pitchers have been charged with only 154 hits and have struck out 169 batters. Dalton Erb is tops on the staff with 68 Ks.
