Softball Game Preview: Old Rochester Regional Bulldogs vs. Bourne Canalmen

The Old Rochester Regional Bulldogs will take on the Bourne Canalmen at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Old Rochester Regional and 17 for Bourne dating back to last season.

Old Rochester Regional fell victim to Case and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Cardinals, falling 24-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Bulldogs were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Bourne might've scored the first runs on Thursday, but it was Greater New Bedford RVT who claimed the real prize. The Canalmen lost 22-2 to the Bears.

Olivia Meda made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Old Rochester Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Bourne, their loss dropped their record down to 0-16.

Everything went Old Rochester Regional's way against Bourne in their previous matchup back in April, as Old Rochester Regional made off with a 13-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
