 Cordova put another one in the bag  on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. Their defense stepped up to hand the Memphis East Mustangs  a   2-0 shutout. Cordova had a rough season last year, but they look ready to turn that poor record around this year.
 They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of 
 Juan Ramos and 
 Samuel Velinda-Munoz, who scored both of Cordova's goals.  The pair have combined for a total of seven so far this season.
 Cordova pushed their record up to 5-0 with that  win, which was their fourth straight  at home. As for Memphis East, they now  have a losing record at 1-2-1.
 Cordova will play host again  on Thursday to welcome Wooddale, where kickoff is scheduled  at 6:30  p.m. Cordova is strutting in with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 5.6  goals per game this season. As for Memphis East, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Lakeland Preparatory at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
