Lawndale won the last time they faced Inglewood and things went their way on Thursday too. The Cardinals were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Sentinels. The Cardinals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 games by eight runs or more this season.

Christian Lopez and Guru Rivas made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Lopez struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Rivas tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Those six strikeouts gave Lopez a new career-high. At the plate, Lopez got on base in two of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI, while Rivas went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. Lawndale is 10-2 when Lopez posts two or more stolen bases, but 5-7 otherwise.

In other batting news, Lawndale got a massive performance out of Eddie Dominguez, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases Dominguez has posted since back in February of 2024. Seth Alex Rodriguez was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Lawndale always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Inglewood only posted an OBP of .222.

Lawndale's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 15-9. As for Inglewood, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.

The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cardinals 3.7, the Centaurs 2) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Inglewood is set to square off against their familiar foe Beverly Hills at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
